Shear elastic waves in bi-material multi-layered waveguide

چکیده
This analytical study demonstrates shear elastic wave propagation in stratified waveguide with emphasis on localisation effects using the propagator matrix method. The consists of two-phase piecewise homogeneous periodically arranged finite number sub-layers along thickness. Analytical solutions are carried out for traction free waveguide. existence two modal types guided waves is established: i) a localised surface mode occurring “stopband” and ii) normal modes arising “passband” frequencies.
